I created a cycle order, but it isn't showing on Cycles
I created a cycle order, but it isn't showing on Cycles
Why it happens. Creating a cycle order from Cycles ends on a Shopify draft order. Supercycle creates the cycle only when that draft order is paid and becomes an order. How to fix it. Open the draft under Draft orders, add the customer if the draft doesn’t have one, and collect payment or mark it as paid. The cycle appears on Cycles as soon as the order exists.
I marked cycles as fulfilled in Supercycle but the Shopify order is still unfulfilled
I marked cycles as fulfilled in Supercycle but the Shopify order is still unfulfilled
Why it happens. Mark as > Fulfilled on the Cycles table updates the cycles in Supercycle only. It doesn’t create a fulfillment on the Shopify order. How to fix it. Fulfill the order in Shopify as well. See Fulfill the order.
A cycle has no item assigned
A cycle has no item assigned
Why it happens. Two customers checked out the same last item at the same time. Availability is checked when each cart is built, so both can pass, and the second order to land finds nothing available. Supercycle creates the cycle without an item rather than hand it one that’s already out, so the existing booking isn’t disturbed. The cycle page shows No item with a red Oversold badge, the cycles table carries a red No item flag, and the variant shows a red oversold badge on the product page with a warning banner on the variant page. Cycles sold on a variant with overselling turned on show No item assigned instead, and aren’t flagged as a problem. How to fix it. Give the cycle an item, or add stock to the variant. The banner’s count is how many more items would cover every cycle sold without one, not how many cycles there are: one item can stand in for several cycles whose dates don’t overlap. Once a cycle has an item, the count drops. To keep this rare, hold stock while a customer decides. Turn on the cart timer so items don’t sit in abandoned carts, and leave Reserve inventory automatically on so items on unpaid draft orders can’t be booked by someone else.
1
Find the cycles
On the variant page, select View cycles in the Oversold by N items banner. To see them across your catalog, filter the cycles table by Oversell status → No item.
2
Assign an item
Open the cycle and select Assign item in the item box. It’s disabled until the variant has an available item.
3
Add inventory
With nothing available, select Add inventory to create a new item for the variant.
A cycle has the wrong item on it
A cycle has the wrong item on it
Why it happens. Allocation picks the item that keeps the most future availability open, which isn’t always the one your team pulled off the shelf. How to fix it. Swap the allocation on the cycle with Change item. The picker shows each candidate’s condition and whether it’s free for these dates.
The rental period on a cycle is wrong
The rental period on a cycle is wrong
Why it happens. The dates come from the option the customer bought, so a cycle created on the wrong option or with the wrong start date carries those dates through. How to fix it. Move Arrive by and Return by with Change rental period. The change doesn’t adjust what the customer paid, so charge or refund the difference on the Shopify order separately.
