Waitlist is in beta. Turn on Waitlist under Beta features first.
Waitlist allows customers to sign up to be notified when an item is back in stock. Open it from Waitlist, or select Waitlist on Inventory.

Customers still waiting for a variant to come back in stock.

How it works

On the online store, the Methods app block shows the signup when the item is out of stock. The customer signs up to be notified when it is back in stock. The signup is added to the waitlist table. Each row is the customer and the variant they want. A method card shows the signup in these cases: Later dates stay bookable, so the calendar signup stays off.
The membership signup is for a customer who already has a membership. Someone without one sees the prompt to join a plan.
The row leaves the waitlist after the email goes out. Signing up again puts the customer back, and Back in stock can email them again.

Set up the waitlist

The product page signup stays off until you turn it on.

Turn on the signup

On Online store, turn on Waitlist. The signup shows on the product page when the item is out of stock. Select Save.
Back in stock is already on, under Waitlist on Emails. Turn it off and waiting customers are no longer emailed when the variant is back in stock.

What the customer sees

The customer selects the button on the method card to sign up.

The signup on the method card.

A signed-in customer then sees a message on the card saying they’ll be emailed when it’s back. The email tells them the product is available again, with a button that opens it. To reword the email, edit Waitlist under Customer mailer in Supercycle notifications.

Add a customer

On Waitlist, select Add entry. The customer has to already exist in Supercycle. Choose the customer, the variant, and the option, then select Add. Delivery method and Requested location can stay as they are. Adding the same customer and variant again updates the entry. A variant with no enabled option shows This variant has no enabled options to waitlist, and Add stays off.

Email waiting customers

Back in stock notifies waiting customers when the variant is back in stock. Waitlist checks every 15 minutes. A picked location limits the email to stock at that location. The variant counts as back in stock when an item has no booking from today onward. The email does not reserve the item. Everyone waiting on that variant at that location gets the email, and the first customer to check out gets the item. Each signup gets one email. To use another system, select Export for a CSV of everyone still waiting. To send from Supercycle, tick the rows and select Send email. The row leaves the waitlist after Send email.

No. Everyone waiting on that variant at that location gets the email, and the first customer to check out gets the item. To sell past your stock, turn on overselling.
Later dates stay bookable. The signup shows when nothing is available from today onward, or when the dates and location they picked have no item.
No. A signup is for the variant, and the dates the customer picked aren’t kept. They’re emailed when an item has no booking from today onward, not when their dates free up.
New signups stop. Customers already waiting are still emailed while Back in stock is on.
Waitlist keeps one entry per customer and variant. Signing up again updates the method, delivery method, and location, and Back in stock can email them again.
