Drop-off returns are in beta. Contact support from the app to have them turned on for your store.
Drop-off returns let customers hand items back at one of your store locations instead of shipping them. When drop-off is on, customers choose between Ship back and Drop off on the product page, and Supercycle adjusts the rental’s availability dates to match the return method they pick. Turn drop-off on under Return on Logistics and locations.

How it works

Drop-off is an instant hand-back. The moment the rental ends, the item is back in your possession. There’s no reverse delivery time, so the item moves straight into your restock buffer and becomes available again sooner than a shipped return. If only one return method is on, customers don’t see a picker and the rental uses that method. Ship back is on by default and can’t be turned off while it’s the only return method. To run drop-off only, turn drop-off on first, then turn off shipping returns.

Set up drop-off returns

1

Turn on drop-off

On Logistics and locations, under Return, open Drop off, turn it on, and set the Restock time for drop-off returns.
2

Check the ship back times

Under Ship back, confirm your Reverse delivery time and Restock time. These apply when customers choose to ship their rental back.
3

Save

Select Save in the save bar.
To let customers choose a drop-off time when they book, set each location’s opening hours and turn on time selection for drop-off.

What the customer sees

When more than one return method is on, the product page shows a Return method picker with Ship back and Drop off. The available rental dates update with the customer’s choice, so they see when an item has to be back if they drop it off compared with shipping it back. The selected return method is stored on the order and used when the rental is scheduled, so your team knows how to expect the item back.
