The order cutoff schedule sets the latest time a customer can order on each day for their rental to start after the delivery buffer. Order before the cutoff and the item dispatches the same day. Order after it and dispatch moves to the next dispatch day. The schedule lives under Outbound delivery on Logistics and locations.

How it works

Say it’s Monday and your delivery buffer is 2 days. A customer must order before your Monday cutoff time for their rental to start on Wednesday. If the cutoff is 3 pm and the customer is browsing at 4 pm, the earliest availability they see is Thursday: Tuesday dispatch plus the 2-day delivery buffer. Set your cutoff schedule to your courier’s latest collection time minus the time you need to prepare the rental.

A customer browsing before the cutoff can book from the end of the delivery buffer.

Time zones

The date picker always uses the store’s time zone. A customer browsing from a different time zone still sees the cutoff applied in the store’s local time. For example, the store’s time zone is UTC+0 with a cutoff at 2 pm. A customer browsing from UTC+3 is held to the same 2 pm UTC+0 cutoff, which is 5 pm in their local time.

No dispatch days

If you don’t dispatch on a day of the week, leave that day’s cutoff empty. In the example above, if Monday were a no-dispatch day, the customer wouldn’t see availability until Thursday, whatever time they were browsing. If Monday had a 3 pm cutoff and Tuesday were a no-dispatch day, a customer browsing at 4 pm on Monday would first see Thursday, because:
  • It’s too late to dispatch the item on Monday
  • Nothing dispatches on Tuesday
  • The item dispatches on Wednesday with a 2-day delivery buffer

No cutoff

To give a day no effective cutoff, set its cutoff time to 11:59 pm. Any order placed that day is before the cutoff.
