Add set fees such as cleaning, insurance, or return shipping on top of the rental period price
Fixed fees are set amounts added on top of the rental period price, such as a cleaning fee, insurance, or return shipping. The Methods app block lists each fee under the rental period line and includes it in the total, so the customer sees what makes up the price. In the cart and at checkout, the fees are summarized on the line item.Create fixed fees under Calendar and adjust them per product on the product’s Calendar method.
Pick a rental period. The fees stay the same while the period price changes.
Fixed fees are a calendar rental feature. Subscription, membership, and resale don’t have an equivalent.
A fixed fee isn’t part of the rental period price. The customer pays the period price plus every fee with an amount above 0. Breaking the price down this way helps a customer see what they’re paying for when a rental costs a good share of the retail price.
Compare the 4-day period price with the Cleaning fee and Insurance below it.
Each fee has a default amount, set in the Calendar method settings. Every product with the Calendar method on shows the fee with that default, and you can change the amount per product.
Under Fixed fees, select Add fixed fee. Enter a Name and the default Amount.

A new fixed fee isn’t added to products that already have the Calendar method on. To add it, turn the Calendar method off and on again on each of those products.
