Everything you do from the Supercycle Scanner, from taking in a new item to receiving it back and updating it in bulk.

Create item

1

Scan an unknown tag

Scan a barcode, QR code, or RFID tag. If the serial number doesn’t exist in Supercycle yet, the Create item screen opens.
2

Select the product

Tap Select a product to load the product list, then scroll or search to the product and variant the item belongs to.
3

Set the status

Confirm the item’s visibility: Active, Draft, Retired, or Sold.
4

Tap Create item

Tap Create item. The Scanner opens the new item’s page, where you can set details such as the pick location.
5

Create several items at once (optional)

In a multi-scan session with a Zebra scanner, unknown serials show as Unknown tag rows. Tap Create item in the bulk action bar, pick one product and status for the batch, and tap Create items. The rows flip from Unknown to Matched and become eligible for the other bulk actions.

Change item

1

Scan the new item

Scan the barcode, QR code, or RFID tag of the item you want to send out instead. If the same product and variant has an active rental with a different item allocated, the Scanner lists those rentals.
2

Tap the rental

Tap the rental to move onto the scanned item, then confirm. The rental’s allocated item changes and the previous item is freed.
You can also start from the rental: open it in the Scanner, tap the item, and scan the replacement.

Create return

1

Scan the item

Scan the item’s barcode, QR code, or RFID tag. If the item is on a rental that doesn’t have a return yet, the rental screen opens.
2

Tap Create return & receive

Tap Create return & receive. The Scanner creates the return and marks the rental as received in one step.
3

Receive several items at once (optional)

In a multi-scan session with a Zebra scanner, tap Receive return in the bulk action bar instead. Every selected item on an active cycle gets a return and is marked received. Items already on a return, or not on a cycle, are skipped. See Bulk actions.

Receive a return

1

Scan the item

Scan the item’s barcode, QR code, or RFID tag. The Scanner opens the item, or the return it’s on.
2

Mark it received

Tap Mark as received on the item screen, or on the return screen if the scan opened a return. Creating a return from the Scanner marks the items received at the same time, so this step is only needed for returns created elsewhere.
3

Receive several items at once (optional)

In a multi-scan session with a Zebra scanner, tap Receive return in the bulk action bar. Every selected item on an active cycle gets a return and is marked received in one step. See Bulk actions.

Set pick location

1

Scan the item

Scan the item’s barcode, QR code, or RFID tag. If the item has no active return or rental, the item screen opens.
2

Tap Pick location

Tap Pick location to open Change pick location.
3

Enter or scan the pick location

Type or scan the pick location ID, then tap Save changes.
4

Set several items at once (optional)

In a multi-scan session with a Zebra scanner, tap Pick location in the bulk action bar to give every selected item the same pick location. See Bulk actions.

Set warehouse

1

Scan the item

Scan the item’s barcode, QR code, or RFID tag to open the item screen.
2

Tap the warehouse row

Tap the warehouse row to open the warehouse picker and choose the destination.
3

Tap Save changes

Tap Save changes. The item moves to the new warehouse.
4

Move several items at once (optional)

In a multi-scan session with a Zebra scanner, tap Warehouse in the bulk action bar, pick the destination, and tap Apply. Every selected item is moved in one call. See Bulk actions.

Set visibility

1

Scan the item

Scan the item’s barcode, QR code, or RFID tag to open the item screen.
2

Pick the new status

Tap the status dropdown and pick Active, Draft, Retired, or Sold.
3

Update several items at once (optional)

In a multi-scan session with a Zebra scanner, tap Visibility in the bulk action bar, pick the status, and tap Apply. Every selected item is updated in one call. See Bulk actions.

Bulk actions

When you start a session with the Zebra barcode scanner or Zebra RFID reader, the Scanner collects every scanned tag into one list, so you can act on the whole selection instead of one item at a time.
1

Start a multi-scan session

On the Scan tab, tap Scan with barcode scanner or Scan with RFID. Hold the trigger, or press it once for RFID, to add items to the list. Duplicate tags are removed automatically.
2

Review the scanned list

Each row shows whether the tag matched an existing item, is still loading, or is an Unknown tag. Tap the checkbox to include or exclude a row, tap the row to open its page, and swipe to remove it from the list.
3

Pick a bulk action

Use the action bar at the bottom of the screen. Each button shows how many selected items it applies to, and a button is disabled when nothing in the selection qualifies:
  • Receive return. Creates a return for every selected item on an active cycle and marks it received. Items already on a return, or not on a cycle, are skipped.
  • Visibility. Sets every selected item to Active, Draft, Retired, or Sold.
  • Warehouse. Moves every selected item to the chosen warehouse.
  • Pick location. Sets the same pick location on every selected item.
  • Change product. Reassigns every selected item to a different product and variant.
  • Create item. Turns every Unknown tag into a new item under one product and variant. See Create item.
4

Confirm the split

Before the action runs, the confirmation sheet shows how many items it touches and groups the rest by the reason they’re skipped, such as Already returning, Not on a cycle, or Unknown tag.
5

Tap Apply

Tap Apply. Updated items refresh in the list, so you can keep scanning or run another bulk action on the same selection.
