Here are some common terms you might hear when talking about Supercycle.
Rental methods are different ways you can rent your items. There are 3 rental methods; Membership, Calendar, and Subscription.
A customer can subscribe to a membership to access a library of items to rent.
Where a customer pays upfront to rent an item for a select period of time.
When a customer pays a subscription to rent an item, once they stop paying, they return the item.
For a customer to have a membership on your store they must subscribe to a membership plan. The membership plan contains settings about how the membership works. A store can have multiple membership plans.
Membership purchase options represent how the membership plan is sold. It can be configured with the interval and the amount. For example, a plan can be $10 a month billed monthly or £100 a year billed yearly.
For membership rental you can choose the credit system you want to use, this can be either credits, items, or money.
When using a membership, each plan you create has an allowance for how many rentals can be made within a specific time period. The allowance uses the credit system to determine if the allowance is credits, items, or money.
When using a membership, each product has a credit cost. This is the amount of credits you charge to rent the product.
Rental selling plans represent how product rentals can be sold and purchased. Rental methods calandar and subscription products have a rental selling plan attached which can be configured. For example, a product can be configured to enable it to be billed for a specific amount that is not the same as the product price, e.g. a product can be billed a different amount for 4,8, and 12 days.
