Rental returns
From your Supercycle admin, you can create and manage your rental returns, send shipping instructions and return labels to your customers, track returned items, restock inspected items, and recredit customers.
Customers can also submit product returns requests directly in your online store through the Supercycle portal.
You can create a return from a customer that has at least one rented item.
To create a rental return
- From your Supercycle admin, go to customers.
- Click on the customer that you want to create a return for.
- Select the items you want to be returned.
- Click Create return
- In the Return shipping options section, select one of the following options:
- Select Upload return label to upload an existing return shipping label for your customer. On the Add return label page, upload the PDF or JPEG file for your shipping label. You can enter the Tracking number and Shipping carrier if you have this information.
- Select No return shipping to create a return without any return shipping information.
You can review a rental return request and approve it. You need to select how to return the products.
After you create a return, a confirmation email is sent to your customer and they are updated in the portal. If you create or upload a return label, then it's also included in the email.
- From your Supercycle admin, go to Returns
- Click the order that you want to approve the return request for.
- Click Approve return
- In the Return shipping options section, select one of the following options:
- Select Upload return label to upload an existing return shipping label for your customer. On the Add return label page, upload the PDF or JPEG file for your shipping label. You can enter the Tracking number and Shipping carrier if you have this information.
- Select No return shipping to create a return without any return shipping information.
After you or a customer have created a return and been approved, you can then mark the item as returned when it comes back to you. Once items are returned you are then able to restock them in Shopify.
To mark a return as returned.
- From your Supercycle admin, go to Returns
- Click the return that you want to mark as returned.
- Click Mark items as returned.
- Select the items that have been returned.
- Click Mark items as returned.
As part of the return process, you have the option to restock the items.
To retock items.
- From your Supercycle admin, go to Returns
- Click the return that you want to restock the items for.
- Click Restock items,
- Select the items that you want to restock.
- Select the location for the items to be restocked.
- Click Restock items.
As part of the return process, you have the option to recredit the customer if the returned item was a Membership rental.
To recredit the customer
- From your Supercycle admin, go to Returns
- Click the return that you want to recredit the customer for.
- Click Recredit
- Select the items that you want to recredit for.
- Click Recredit.
